Jon Madin Marimbas arrive at Thirroul
Thirroul Public School P&C has demonstrated an amazing commitment to music education by purchasing a class set of diatonic marimbas for students to use in our weekly music classes.
The marimbas were handmade by renowned Australian marimba maker and musician Jon Madin, who personally delivered the instruments this week, making the 1,600 km round trip from Kyneton, Victoria!
Jon Madin’s marimba design and his handmade marimbas and have inspired music-making in schools and communities around the world. We’re delighted have a set of his instruments at Thirroul.
